The Clash Of Ideals And Realities

Since music curriculum criteria of full-time compulsory education was issued in2001,people in social circles have been talking about the reformation of basic musiccurricula,which stirred my interest in reseach on the reformation of basic musiccurricula to a large extent.Through the qualitative research on the reformation of basicmusic curricula in a medium-sized Chinese city, I have found that,in addition tounfavorable circumstances in the schools,the pratical use of these criteria in the classis ineffective,and the teachers themselves feel that the criteria are unattainable. Basedon research into these problems,this thesis analyses two key factors,namely the musicteachers' quality and the development and promotion of the new musiccurricula,which limit the reformation of basic music curricula, and gives somecorresponding measures to solve these problems.
