This topic is a results from the national social science fund project <The Frontier MinorityAreas Teenagers Study of Civic Awareness Education Practice Mode>(12BKS071).Throughoutthe world, civic awareness education has become a global focus of the21st century,by civicawareness education make social individuals become qualified citizens, is every modern countryin the world for the development of the citizen basic expectations. Xinjiang is in the northwestfrontier of the motherland, in religion, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural interwoven, domestic andoverseas in recent years the "three forces" in cultural infiltration and ideological struggle way totaking corrosion to in Xinjiang. Xinjiang adolescents as builders and successors of Xinjiangmodernization, must foster the awareness of citizen, master the connotation of the knowledge,exercise citizenship behavior, improve the quality of the citizens, has far-reaching significancefor realizing the social stability and security.Based on primary school students in Xinjiang as a research perspective, according to currentsituation of primary school students in Xinjiang citizenship education, through empirical research,on the basis of the analysis of existing problems, and put forward relevant to primary schoolstudents in Xinjiang citizen consciousness education countermeasures, in order to promote ourpupils civic consciousness education effectiveness to provide some theoretical thinking andpractical paradigm.The first part is the introduction part, introduced this topic selection of the selected topicbackground and significance of topics, this topic research present situation has carried on thebrief introduction.The second part expounds the basic connotation of civic awareness and elementaryconnotation of citizen consciousness, and the theoretical basis of this topic has carried on thesimple introduction. And at the same time in Britain, the United States, Japan, Singapore primaryschool civic consciousness education is the basic overview, combined with foreign students civicconsciousness education experience for reference.The third part through the questionnaire survey results of two primary citizenship educationhas carried on the concrete analysis. The pupils of two area and civic consciousness educationpresent situation analysis, the difference of Urumqi and Yili region education as well as ordinaryclass teaching and bilingual class distinction, clarify two area elementary school civicconsciousness education progress. The fourth part of the two regions pupil civic consciousness education problems existing inthe system is analyzed. Existing problems are mainly two regional teaching goal is not clear, theinefficiency of the classroom, the practice teaching is weak, at the same time, including socialand family factors.The fifth part mainly from the basic principles, teaching methods, teaching practice,society,family and bilingual class training aspects of civic consciousness, pupil citizen consciousnesseducation in Xinjiang put forward the countermeasures and suggestions.
