The Research Of Inland Students’ Cultural Adaptation In Universities In Xinjiang

Since ancient times, Xinjiang is a multi-ethnic populated area. Because of thedistinctive local culture, inland students who are studying in universities in Xinjiang,inevitably, will be faced with cultural adaptation problems in their daily life. Weanalyze the status of inland students’ cultural adaptation rationally, which canpromote the effectiveness of school management. And all the discussion is basedon the view of education management that schools can provide.This dissertation is divided into five parts, as following: the first part isintroduction, which mainly elaborates the reason of the selected topic, researchpurpose and significance, definition of important concepts and some relevant theoriesof introduction, etc; the second part introduces the research design by analyzing fromresearch method, object of study to the designing of questionnaire; the third partmainly bases on questionnaire and interview of the220inland students of Xinjiangnormal university. And there are three aspects in culture adoption, from theimpression of never been to Xinjiang, the feeling of beginning of live in xinjiang andto the culture adoption in Xinjiang.; the fourth part, according to the limitation ofaspects, school management and students themselves, explores the inland students’cultural adaptation problems and further analyzes the influencing factors of inlandstudents’ cultural adaptation; the fifth part is mainly based on the above investigationand analysis, putting forward the strategies to strengthen inland students’ culturaladaptation. This dissertation puts forward two improvement suggestions:(1) basedon the collage management work, managers should pay attention to culturaladaptation problems of inland students who study in Xinjiang.(2)As inland students,they should adjust their attitude actively to adapt local culture. In order to make aclear direction of later research, conclusive part summarizes the whole article, andmakes notes and limitation of the article research. I hope this research can giveinland students some help to adapt Xinjiang local culture well.
