With the continuous social progress and human development, contradictions betweenthe nature and human society have become increasingly prominent. Thus, nowadays theimportance and urgency of the construction of ecological civilization can be seen. In thispaper, from the perspective of educational ecology, applying ecological principles andmethods, combining with the new English Curriculum Standards (Experiment) to thinkand grasp the existing problems of English writing courses in the progress of reform anddevelopment. And the experimental study on eco-classroom of English writing teachingaims to explore the application of ecological classroom of English writing teaching inhigh school and the impact on students’ English writing learning.According to questionnaire, case study, observation and interview, many existingproblems are found out in the class of English writing teaching. For example, high schoolstudents are not very interested in English writing; the status quo of English writing is notoptimistic and classroom environment is discordant. In order to deal with these problems,ecological teaching activities of English writing are carried out, such as changing theclassroom environment, enriching teaching content and methods and perfecting diverseevaluation, etc. which foster students’ English writing interests, improve the Englishwriting ability and change the students’ attitude towards English writing to a certainextent. Two paralleled class are chosen from Ganzhou No.1middle school. One is as theexperimental class, the other as the controlled class. The experiment lasts four months andcollects students’ writing scores of pre-test and post-test separately, then analyze the datawith software SPSS17.0.The research shows that: English writing scores of the experimental class studentssignificantly improved; classroom teaching effect is much better; eco-classroom has somepositive effects on English writing teaching; ecological classroom of English writing canarouse students’ English writing interest, cultivate students’ English writing habits andimprove students’ Englishwritingskills.
