Since the21stcentury, with the constant innovation of knowledge and sustainabledevelopment, the world is entering the new era of knowledge economy. In front ofboth challenges and opportunities from knowledge economy, boosting the qualityoriented education is currently a urgent task, as well as a profound revolution ofeducation in China. In this educational revolution, the awareness of creativity, capability of creativity and subject consciousness would be the principle concepts ofeducation. During the process of education, it is supposed to centre on student and tosufficiently develop the subjectivity and creativity. Actually, the inquiry-basededucation can exactly meet the requirement of this type of educational reform, fostering the ability of inquiring and innovative spirit, and then fulfil the nurture forstudent in all aspects. I would bring the inquiry-based teaching into tennis courses inuniversity, and have an in-depth discussion with the launch and implement ofinquiry-based teaching in tertiary tennis education. The sport faculty at normal university is professional in calculatingphysical-education teachers, who are successors of the scholastic and socialphysical-education occupations. The work of those who graduated from sport major atnormal university is relevant to the advancement of Chinese physical education andthe overall quality of citizens in the future. There is a critical problem need to besolved urgently is how to enhance quality training for students of sport faculty on thewhole scale. Specifically, students are supposed to improve their teaching, trainingand scientific research capability so that they can contribute to the development of P.E.in our country and public fitness.According to the feedback of qualitative survey of graduates from sports institutein Shangqiu normal university, drawbacks are reflected in terms of technique andteaching, which demonstrates that our teaching is not good enough in terms offorming students’ technique and fostering their ability. Therefore, there is a need toimprove teaching methodology and enhance intensity of work. One significant way of learning action theory and technique is to enhance interest and enthusiasm of initiativeinquiring-study, therefore having a full-scale, profound understanding of techniquesand actions, learning concepts and knowledge and teaching methodology. Thiswould request teachers to intrigue students of inquiring-learning by relating teachingcontent, and to plan and lead students to inquire and learn, to encourage studentsactively learn skills and concepts as well as teaching methods, finally, to transformteaching practice means to teaching ability. As a result, the goal of fostering physicaleducation would be achieved. This research conducted36study hours tuition experiment by adoptingcomparison class and experimental class. According to the results of teaching test,inquiring-teaching is superior to traditional teaching in terms of the following aspects:Firstly, inquiring-teaching can help students to improve their interest for study, enthusiasm for study and study effects. It also can help students to have a deepunderstanding in tennis skills and theory, technical methods, teaching methods, tocomprehend tennis knowledge and technique, forming self working ability; Thirdly, itis beneficial for adopting students’ inquiring spirits and grasping on study methods, thereby promoting the nurture of creative spirits. Fourthly, it can accelerate the mutualcommunication and cooperation among students-students and students-teachers, andhelp people to live together in harmony, which would benefit the society to developsteadily. Eventually, as it is people-oriented, it would have a promotion for teachers’teaching concepts and students’ study and research, designing, inquiring-teaching andteachers’teaching.
