The cultivation of innovative engineering talents is the basic requirement andfundamental mission of higher engineering education. Teachers of higherengineering education is the most important resources of realizing the aim ofengineering education and is the most key link to improve the quality of higherengineering education. Paper defines three concepts of higher engineeringeducation and teacher training and industry-university-institute cooperationbetween colleges, bases on the triple helix model theory, theory of combiningeducation with productive labor, pragmatism education theory and the theory ofpsychological contract, uses literature research approach, comparative researchapproach, studies the ways on training teachers of higher engineering educationin Germany, the United States, Canada and other developed countries, and Tongjiuniversity, Harbin institute of technology university and shenyang university oftechnology and many other different levels of universities in China. We cananalyses the problems and reasons in the process of training teachers of higherengineering education. On the basis of the goal on training higher engineeringeducation talent, we can establish the dual characteristics of specifications ofteachers of higher engineering education, concluding multidimensionalknowledge structure, ability of engineering practice, innovation consciousnessand innovation ability, social responsibility and ability of social adaptation,moral character and physical quality. We will build training system on teachersof higher engineering education from the following four aspects: choosingteachers of higher engineering education, professional knowledge’s training,basic teaching skills and ability of engineering practice. Finally we will explorethe effective ways of training higher engineering education of production-study-research cooperation between higher vocational colleges and enterprises from thelevels of mechanism running. The innovation of this paper put forward the whole process of training systemof higher engineering education teacher from the selection to training to practiceto running. This article is to improve the quality of engineering talents cultivationas the core, to train teaching basic skills of teachers of higher engineeringeducation as the main line, to build the system of Industry-university-institutecooperation between higher vocational colleges and enterprises as the maincultivation way. This system enriches the theory and practice of training onhigher engineering education teacher in China.
