The Research Of Function About College Students Associations’ Ideological And Political Education

With the rapid development of our country’s economy and society, the highereducation has made great achievements after entering into the21st century.Meanwhile, the contemporary college students have changed in thoughts, learning,living and other behaviors. College students associations, as the most cohesive andinfluential association in colleges, is the essential part of constructing campus culture.The colorful activities in association can not only fulfill the students’ extracurricularlife, but also inspire their potentials in any aspects. They are becoming the new carrierof students’ ideological and political education which plays an indispensable role incollege students’ ideological and political education. In2005, the document aboutstrengthening and improving college students’ associations, which was implementedby the Ministry of Education and the central committee of the communist youthleague, pointed out college students’ association activities are an innovative channeland effective way to put quality education into practice. They play important roles invarious aspects, including strengthening cultural construction, improving students’quality; guiding students adjust themselves to society and promoting students to takeup occupations. They are effective forms to concentrate students and launchideological and political education in the new social situation. Therefore, the researchon functions and relevant solutions of college students associations’ ideological andpolitical education has realistic meanings in taking further steps to strengthen andimprove college students associations’ ideological and political education.This article stars from the connotation, characteristics and significance of collegestudents associations’ ideological and political education function, and analysis thelimiting factors of the ideological and political education function, finally proposesthe basic solutions for strengthening college students associations’ ideological and political education.This article is divided into four parts:The first part: foreword. It mainly introduces the purpose and significance of theresearch of function about college students associations’ ideological and politicaleducation, points out the current research status at home and abroad, and expoundsthe research ideas and research methods.The second part: overview. It mainly expounds the definition of college studentassociations, defines the specific content of the function about college studentassociations’ ideological and political education; and points out the possibility ofstudents associations’ ideological and political education functions.The third part: current status. It points out the current situation of the students’associations’ ideological and political education function through a questionnaire,including the achievement and existing problems, and analysis of the restrictingfactors.The fourth part: countermeasures. It puts forward the concrete measure andeffective countermeasures to improve the ideological and political education function.
