task-driven teaching method is based on constructivism teaching theory,which divides teaching objectives into several tasks to enable students to complete teaching objectives in the process of completing tasks.Based on the research status of experts and scholars at home and abroad,this paper summarizes the relevant theoretical basis,implementation process,principles and other reference materials of task-driven teaching method,providing theoretical support for the application of task-driven teaching method in college table tennis elective courses.this paper adopts the methods of literature review,experiment,questionnaire,mathematical statistics and so on.It takes task-driven teaching method as the research object in the teaching of table tennis elective courses in physical education departments.It takes two classes of 2015 social sports major in physical education college of Chengdu University of technology as the experimental object.It mainly takes forehand stroke and backhand stroke(backhand stroke)of table tennis technology as the teaching contents,and takes physical quality,table tennis technical level and learning interest as the comparative evaluation indexes.Statistics of experimental results were analyzed by independent sample t test and paired sample t test.through a 4-month teaching experiment,the comparison and analysis of the test results of the two groups reached the following conclusions:(1)through one semester's study,both the experimental group using task-driven teaching method and the control group using traditional teaching method have improved their table tennis skills to a certain extent.At the same time,the improvement degree of the experimental group in reaching the standard of forehand attack and backhand block(backhand stroke)is higher than that of the control group.After the experiment,there were significant differences between the experimental group and the control group in the number of table tennis boards and technical scores,and the experimental group was better than the control group.(2)Using task-driven teaching method in table tennis course can improve students' enthusiasm to participate in table tennis course.After the experiment,the test result of the learning interest scale of the experimental group is better than that of the control group,and the students' self-study ability and learning interest have been improved to a certain extent.(3)task-driven teaching method and traditional teaching method are helpful to improve students' physical quality.In the test results after the experiment,theexperimental group and the control group both improved to a certain extent before the experiment in about 30 seconds and 1 minute jumping rope.
