Research On The Present Situation Of Table Tennis Teaching In University Sports Training Major Of Jilin Province

Major of sports training is a chief component of college physical education.Its main purpose is to improve the core-competitiveness of the national competitive sports,resulting into the quality improvement of the coaches and players and finally making the national competitive sports stand in the forest of the world power.Table tennis is our national ball and is the indispensible component of the major of sports training.Table tennis is the reserve strength of school teachers all over the country,and is the training base of the qualified coach,and is also the reserve force to popularize table tennis culture.Nowadays,the most of the universities in Jilin province do not develop enough courses.The technique and standard of table tennis change fast,requiring the teachers to grasp the new direction of development in time.The teachers should impart all the knowledge acquired to the students,further improving the teaching quality.The literature survey method was used in this work.After knowing the background of the table tennis,we used the questionnaire survey among six universities.The teachers' situation and the attitude of table tennis were learned.At last,the results were analyzed by mathematical statistics.Combined with specific teaching planning and reform in education,some valid developing and reform methods were put forward.The following conclusion and suggestion was drawn as follows.1.The construction and management system of the table tennis training hall is not perfect.Some improvements are needed.2.The educational background and technical title of the teachers at the university of Jilin province are valid.The teachers are fond of teaching table tennis.However,the schools do not pay enough attention to the continue-to-study of the teachers.Therefore,the communication and lecture are suggested.3.The students that take part in the table tennis have keen interest and a solid foundation for table tennis.But they are short of the speculative knowledge.Therefore,theoretical education should be enhanced,improving their comprehensive accomplishment.4.The teaching materials now are National general,lacking some description of the psychology of sports.Therefore,psychology of sports is suggested in the teaching materials.5.The formulation of teaching plan and content ignored the characteristics of weak theoretical basis of students.The teaching method is relative single.Therefore,the teachers should modify teaching plan and content based on the specific situation of the students.The teachers should formulate corresponding teaching methods based on the students and their own situation.6.The content of examination mainly includes peacetime performance,comprehensive skills and theory of foundations.The examination on the theory of foundations of the students is suggested.
