The Native Language Curriculum Standards in full time compulsory education of China in2001combines Chinese own national conditions, own culture and the advanced foreign countries’mother language education experience, Comparing with the former Native Language Curriculum Standards of China which is made in2001, this one has a huge development. It not only focuses on improving the Chinese quality of students’, but also incorporating with three dimension. And they are knowledge and capability, emotional attitude and value, method and precess respectively. However, according to the teaching practice, we found there are many ideas in the standards needed to be improved and developed. Therefore, a number of experts and learners get involved in such improvement work; however, there is no too many articles studying about things like that. This dissertation analyses and compares the course objectives of China and British Columbia. Part one gives the introduction which includes the reason, the meaning of writing this theme, and tells the history of studying the theme, as well. Part two is the analysis and comparison of the design theory and realization. Part three is about general goals and sub-objectives of two countries, In the end, this paper concludes that we need to improve our standards and Chinese teaching by consulting other’s merits.
