Emotional education is a new educational paradigm in the light of the traditionalintellectual education which is emphasized on the penetration of students’ emotion,stimulating students’ interest, improving students’ character, and then promoting theall-round development of students in course teaching. As the unification ofeducational purpose and means in ideological and political course in middle school,the emotional education has an important influence on the learning of knowledge,cultivation of ability, especially the formation of emotional attitude and values. Whatis more, it is the requirement to accomplish the unique mission of ideological andpolitical course in middle school and comprehensively promote quality education.Based on the previous research, some suggestions for the emotional education inideological and political course in middle school will be offered in the present paperwhich is divided into five parts:The first part mainly introduces the research background of this topic andsummarizes the research status of domestic and foreign scholars related to emotionaleducation and some problems of emotional education in ideological and politicalcourse in middle school.The second part tries to further the research and related theories on the basis ofprevious studies, combined with ideological and political course to discuss thefunction of emotional education.The third part summarizes the principles of emotional education which should besticked up for in the ideological and political courses in middle school on basis of therelated research for the theories of emotional education, combined with thecharacteristics of the ideological and political courses in middle school and thestudents.The fourth part deeply analyses the content of emotional education in Ideologicaland political course in middle school which mainly includes the true education ofvaluing life, family education of harmony, harmonious interpersonal friendshipeducation and care for the national enthusiasm for education.The fifth part presents some implementation strategies for emotional education inthe ideological and political courses in middle school according to the characteristicsof the courses and the students. It mainly includes the transformation of educationalconcept, divide of educational content, innovation of educational means andimplement of educational action.
