For the large English teachers of rural junior high school in China, theenvironment of teaching and learning in which relatively closed and falledbehind,teachers’ level of professional quality is generally lower.Henan is largeagricultural province and Education province,according its school conditions, teachers,social impact and the coordinated development,a data analysis displays abouteducational resources balanced configuration’s current situation: Composite Index ofZhumadian City as low as the second in count backwards of the province in all regions(Zhang boping2011).And then,Q county is one of national poverty counties,studies itsdevelopment strategy of english teachers’ professional quality in junior high school,having highly practical significance for poor rural’s english education.In this paper,taken junior high school English teachers’ the professional quality asthe research subject in Henan Province county,Using some Survey Methodology, likeliterature, questionnaire, interviews,Carry out an investigation of100English teachersand100students in the county’s12middle schools,and one of the10teachers wereinterviewed. Data processing by SPSS17.0for quantitative and qualitative analysisabout English teachers’Professional qualities of rural junior high school.The resultsreflect four aspects of these English teachers’ professional quality status and itscauses,First, the limitations of academic and professional background has led to lack ofteachers ’professional knowledge; Second, the social status of teachers, teachers’ welfareseriously affect emotions; Third, the government and the schools of teacher educationpolicies, incentive policies, as well as teaching and research attitude, affect Englishteachers to improve the quality of professional quality;Fourth, the large base of rural students,and their English foundation is weak, resulting in teachers’ physical andmental pressure, affect self-improvement initiative.For the above situation and causes,this study makes the followingrecommendations:First, teachers should update teaching philosophy, Implementationautonomy, cooperation, self-learning mode training Trinity,and enhance thedevelopment of self-awareness, targeted to enhance their professional skill level;Second, the government should pay more attention to teachers’ education, strengthenregulatory of the teaching quality,teaching environment, teaching activities of theorganization, to develop personalized training programs and incentives, to provoke thepursuit of English teachers in the material and spiritual dimensions.Third, to improvethe social status of teachers from the political, economic, humane care. Fourth, research,teaching facilities, campus culture, teaching activities, to create a good workingenvironment English campus environment.
