The professional qualities of English Teachers in junior middle schools are part of English Teachers'qualities, which has no unified definition and recognition yet. English Teachers'qualities in Junior middle school will directly influence the qualities of the citizens in 21th century.This thesis mainly discusses what professional qualities of English Teachers in Junior middle school should be in new times through analyzing the characteristics of English teaching in basic Education and special demands from the reform on English curriculum for the English Teaching in counturyside Junior middle school. This thesis also provides some suggestions on how to improve teachers's qualities.This thesis tries to achieve two goals: One is to discuss what professional qualities the English Teachers in Junior middle school should have in new times. The other is to give the constructive suggestions to improve the professional qualities of English teachers in Nehe countryside Junior middle school so as to promote the development of teacher education and teachers'professional development.This thesis consists of four chapters:Chapter one is about the background and the significance in the research on the professional qualities of English teachers in countryside Junior middle school.Chapter two is about the concept differentiation and analysis. It analyzes the concepts such as teacher's quality, English Teacher's quality as well as professional quality of English teachers. It focus on the analysis of the required professional qualities for the English teachers in the junior middle school. It includes specialized knowledge; correlation theory; teaching ability; research ability. Finally, Summary the present situation investigation about the English Teachers'professional qualities that have already done.Chapter three focus on the questionnaire and the data analysis. Establishment a questionnaire about the countryside English Teachers'professional qualities in Nehe city ,Heilongjiang Province. And carry on the analysis to its results.Chapter four provides the conclusion and suggestions on how to improve teachers's qualities: Set up the new ideas of curriculm reform; Development continuing education; Carry on the education reasearch based on school. .
