Education is the foundation of the progress of science and technology, but theprogress of science and technology makes the education become too dependent ontechnology, and our teaching has become a purely technical activities, one-sidedpursuit of scientific teaching,ignoring the artistic teaching, emphasis on the rationalclassification of knowledge, pay attention to knowledge infusion, which leads to ourteaching lack of vitality, the talents that we cultivating are one-sided development,without critical spirit and creativity. The education of humanism should not only focuson scientific teaching, but should pay more attention to the artistic teaching. Weshould seek a kind of teaching thought of combining science and art. At the beginningof twentieth Century, Austria scientists, thinkers and educators Rudolf Steineraccording to his Anthroposophy theory founded the Waldorf Education. He claimsthat regard education as an art, teaching should also be in an artistic style, artisticteaching thought is the soul of Waldorf Education. This article is dedicated to studyArtistic Teaching thoughts of Waldorf Education, hope to provide some suggestionsfor our country’s current basic education.This thesis is divided into five parts:First of all, the introduction expounds the questions and significance of the study,and on the basis of the study in the domestic and overseas introduces the contents andthe methods of research; Secondly, from the artistic teaching principles, teachingcontents and the way of teaching to analyze the artistic teaching thoughts of WaldorfEducation, the artistic teaching thought is the kernel of Waldorf Education; Thenfrom the background of the Artistic Teaching thought of Waldorf Education,philosophy and psychology theories, and the reality to analyze the basis of artisticteaching thoughts of Waldorf Education; Again, make a concrete analysis of theteaching practice of the artistic teaching thoughts of Waldorf Education, regard theCalifornia Highland Hall Waldorf School in the United States as a case to analyze theimplementation of curriculum and teaching for grades1-8, and to evaluate theachievements of the school; Finally, by the artistic teaching thoughts of WaldorfEducation caused the teaching thought, teaching goal, teaching content, teachingmethods, teaching evaluation of the five dimensions of thinking, it is concluded thatthe people-oriented teaching thought should seek marriage between science and art.
