On The Design And Application Of Online Instructional Video Based On Performance Technology

Performance Technology is an important research direction of educationaltechnology, with the development of the theory and practice of educational technology,performance technology has been the attention they deserve. Especially in businessmanagement, by means of the theory and methods of performance technology, it isstraightforward to improve enterprise performance. Taking advantage of the systemsperspective of Performance Technology, focusing on the costs and benefits and payingattention to the program than the results and evaluation, are introduced into the onlineeducation. I believe that it is expected to improve the effectiveness of onlineeducation. There are many videos on the network. But the online instructional videorequires high quality. From the current status of the instruction that based on video,we find that there are still some problems about the online instructional video.This research tries to introduce the theory and practice of the performancetechnology into the online education that based on videos. Using the process modelsof Performance Technology to analyze the reasons of unsatisfactory online teachingvideo, the gaps between the ideal and the reality, can help us make a good decision tosolve the problem. Then we can solve the problem and evaluate the results. Using themethod of Performance Technology to analysis the online teaching video, can obtainthe results of design model of the online teaching video. Then we can put the designmodel of the online teaching video into practice.On the basis of the theories and method of performance technical, we can makeout the optimization approach of the instructional video and then draw a design modelof the instructional video. We can take a video as an example to explain the designmodel. At last, we can make a video that based on the design model.
