Research On The Education Service Quality Of Universities In Guangxi To Foreign Student Studying In China

Education of Foreign student is not only an important part of the development of internationalization of higher education, but also reflects the main indicator of a nation’s international competitiveness in higher education. Do the education service for foreign student better, and improve the quality of education services to foreign students, which is a necessary requirement of China’s higher education reform and development. With the deepening of the education cooperation between China and ASEAN nations, foreign students’ education in Guangxi Universities and Colleges is also facing many challenges. In order to promote the sustainable development of foreign student education for Guangxi Universities, and better meet the educational needs of international development, it’s necessary of universities and colleges of Guangxi to pay special attention to the foreign student education services, and constantly improve the quality of education services for foreign students. On the basis of exploring the related concepts of foreign student education service quality and the service quality gap theory proposed by the Parasuraman et al, the paper first summarized analysis on the development of foreign student education in Guangxi. In order to know about the status of education service quality for foreign students in Guangxi Universities and the real needs of foreign student, this study analyzed with reference to the service quality gap theory and the SERVQUAL instrument which is under framework of the theory, designed a foreign student education service quality survey and study in Vietnamese students as example, which is the major group studying in Guangxi campuses.Using SPSS16.0software to statistics all the questionnaire, and found that the results of the evaluation of the quality of foreign student education services are negative, Vietnamese students overall quality of education services for Guangxi universities is-3.73, indicating that the foreign student education services quality of Guangxi university to be improved. The investigation shows that the reasons which have main impact on the foreign student education services quality of Guangxi universities:the education services work for foreign student is not paid enough attention by the university; different management departments of university are lack of coordination; the construction of teaching equipment and service team is not complete; teaching and extracurricular activities for foreign students are not sufficient.For the questions drawn from the analysis, the author proposed to improve education services quality of university for foreign student to attract more foreign students to come to Guangxi, the university should be updated the concept of education service; improve coordination between different management departments; increase the investment to build the teaching equipment and education service team for foreign student; optimize the foreign students’teaching and curriculum arrangement, and enrich their extracurricular life in campus.
