Research On Counselors Professional Management Of Guangzhou Vocational College Of Technology And Business

Counselor is an important part of the management team in the university. To carry out ideological and political education are the backbones of college students’ daily work of ideological and political education and management of the organizers, perpetrators and mentors, is a guide for the healthy growth of students and close friends, is to ensure sustained and healthy development of higher education can not be or missing an important force. Our higher vocational education is an important part of higher education, higher education institutions, compared with the normal, higher vocational education institutions mainly with distinct occupational and educational characteristics of strong practicality; vocational college students have biogenic type hierarchy complex inferiority serious, widespread moral cognition and moral behavior out of line and so on. Vocational education students characteristics and characteristics of the vocational college counselors work put forward higher requirements, counselors not only to strengthen students’ ideological and political education, but also with the teacher as well as psychological counseling workforce coordination, joint students carry out employment guidance and psychological counseling. Thus, the increasing size of higher vocational colleges, the increasing number of students, increasingly complex ideological and political education under the new situation, the establishment of a team of highly qualified counselors, counselors enhance the effective management, and promote counselor professional construction team for achieving sustainable development of higher vocational colleges has important significance.This research found that the problems of counselors’ professionalism management in the Guangzhou Vocational College of Technology and Business are high loss rate, the responsibility is unclear, the level of professionalism is low. The reasons causing those problems are the leader didn’t concerned about the counselors, the salary of counselors is low and too busy, lack of prefect systems on selection and encouraged. The solution is the leaders should concern about counselors, perfected the management system, and so on.
