A Study On The Problems And Countermeasures Of College Student Counselors' Professional Ethics

"A temporary standard for the capability of counselors in advanced schools" has well defined that counselors in advanced schools are career-men performing their duties in the field of the students' work in advanced schools. They should be trained systematically, possessing good professional ethics and mastering professional knowledge and technology. Meanwhile,widespread concern has been aroused of some highlight problems about teachers'professional ethics with the developing penetration of reform and opening and the continuous enhancement of market economy. Thus, in the new epoch, we demand to carry out theoretical research and practice to continuously improve the professional ethics of counselors in advanced schools. Problems still consist in the issues of professional ethics of counselors in advanced schools aroused by the academia.As the aroused issues are superficial, theoretically cluttered and simplificantly solved, this research attempts to work out viewing the connotation, seeing into the present situation, gripping the main contradiction and discovering the relevant strategy to augment the expansion of these issues.This research consists of four parts as follow:The first part is to place particular emphasis on analyzing the essential connotation of professional ethics of counselors in advanced schools. This part strives to solve the problem of theoretical premise of professional ethics of counselors in advanced schools. Firstly, it starts from some concepts related to professional ethics of counselors in advanced schools. Secondly, it discusses how to perceive the problem of professional ethics of counselors in advanced schools. Lastly, it clarifies special attribute of professional ethics of counselors in advanced schools, comparing with other occupational groups.The second part is to place particular emphasis on analyzing the current problems of professional ethics of counselors in advanced schools. This part strives to solve current testing problem of professional ethics of counselors in advanced schools. Firstly, it will be clear the way of acquiring problems that to take the measures of document analysis, field investigation and panel survey. Then, it starts from general present situation and micro problems, and understand the present situation thoroughly.The third part lays particular emphasis on the main contradiction of the professional ethics of counselors in advanced schools. This part strives to solve the problem of rule's cognition of the professional ethics of counselors in advanced schools.This moral problem must be shaped by some conflicts. We try to spy out and perceive the problem's research from four perspectives of conflicts.The fourth part lays particular emphasis on the main strategy of strengthening the professional ethics' constructions in advanced schools. This part strives to solve the problem of the route of professional ethics construction. We decide to consummate and construct this solution from(three parts of)the body of the convention principle of content, the construction and perfection of specific constitution, and the self-education of counselors.
