Teacher pedagogy is to research the issues of the education andtraining of pre-service teacher and in-service teacher, which reveals the particularcontradictions and regular patterns in teachers’ professional growing process. Teacherpedagogy is an emerging discipline, associated and correlated with subordinatedisciplines to different degrees within the Pedagogy system. What’s more, it involvesthe integration of many disciplines and a comprehensive discipline appliedcompositely. The correlation and association with other disciplines and the integritydemonstrate it’s interdisciplinary. As an interdisciplinary discipline, it is the coreissue remaining to be studied whether teacher pedagogy can become an independentsubordinate pedagogy within the system. Resolving the issue will not only facilitatethe construction and healthy growth of teacher pedagogy but also promote theprofessional development of the discipline, therefore meeting the needs of assemblingthe teachers’ education team. Moreover, the problem solving accords with the conceptof the development of teacher pedagogy and the logic of outreaching expansion,vertical extension and upward development; to train teachers, it provides a practicalguide for promoting professional growth of teachers.The essay doesn’t illustrate the term of “Educational background source”in thetraditional sense, but explains the meanings of “learning” and “margin” respectively.The paper explains these two words from the perspective of departure from lexicology.In educational discipline system, the discipline, like teacher pedagogy associated andcorrelated with other disciplines, belongs to the interdisciplinary subject, that is to say,the subordinate subject in the medium aspect. It is a research subject between the basictheory and the applied research. Can the comprehensiveness, practicality and integrityof teacher pedagogy in accordance with the nature of “independent subordinatepedagogy within the system”? If it is to become an independent secondary discipline,what should be identified is the criteria of independent disciplines, the disciplinarystatus of teacher pedagogy, as well as the possibility of becoming the subordinate discipline. On the basis of rethinking and reflecting on the independent discipline issueof teacher pedagogy, the literature research method and history research method areadopted in this whole paper to demonstrate whether the teacher pedagogy can becomean independent discipline or not. The paper is classified into six chapters. The firstchapter is the Introduction, including the interpretation of the topics, the reasons whythe topic is chosen, all the existing research reviews, the research framework and theresearch methods. The second chapter, the Research Basis of Independent DisciplineIssue of Teacher Pedagogy illustrates the abundant experience of hundreds of years’progress of normal education, the practical request of university-orientated teachereducation, the theoretical appealing of the specialization of teacher education, togetherwith the academic demand of the opening of teacher education, which are the researchfoundations of the topic. The third chapter, the Analysis of Independent Standard ofTeacher Pedagogy” aims to find out what the standards should be possessed to becomean independent discipline, as well as to judge whether teacher pedagogy has theelements to be independent or not. The fourth chapter, the Status of Teacher Pedagogyin Educational Disciplinary System, analyzes the structure of educational disciplinarysystem and explains the nature and meaning of teacher pedagogy in order to confirm thestatus of this discipline. In the fifth chapter, The Rational Analysis of the Main Issue, theessay explores whether the teacher pedagogy can become an independent discipline ornot, as well as discusses the rationality of this question and also the practicality of it.The sixth chapter centers on the basic summary of research conclusion and theacademic prospect of the discipline development.
