Research On Rural Community Worker

The purpose of this dissertation aims at analyzing the feature, training and employment of rural community workers. In perspective of social work, it explores the experiences of rural Puhan Community and farmers cooperative in providing local economic and social services. By taking field study and interview, some first-hand materials are presented here.It is fined that the workers in Puhan rural community and farmers cooperative have some skills and services similar to professional social workers; they play a crucial role in rural community building. In response to their needs and experiences, it is necessary for NPOs to initiate rural community workers training, and Villagers Committees as well as farmers cooperatives should employment them for strengthening rural community building.This article is divided into seven parts:The former two parts describe research focuses and method, review relevant literatures both at home and abroad. The following five parts study “actual community workers” who are existing in reality(i.e., Puhan rural community workers) in terms of responsibility, function, etc.; discuss the advantages and positive role of rural community; analyze the problem of the rural community workers,such as the contradiction between education background and professional growth, career cognition and identity, and professional development motivation, as well as problems such as unclear orientation; analyzes at last the employment of community workers, and the policies on them as a profession.
