Liao Shicheng is a famous modern Chinese educator, psychologist, is also a famous higher normal and secondary education experts, havea good done in secondary education. After Liao Shicheng achieved his study returning to China from the United States in1919,immediately enter the nanjing higher normal school education section as a professor, at the same time as the director of the affiliated high school of Southeast University, until1927. Liao Shicheng was engaged in his first eight years of education in the affiliated high school of Southeast University, as well as his education career was the most glorious for eight years.In these eight years, the affiliated high school of Southeast University under the guidance of Liao Shicheng, jumping and become outstanding middle school at that time,"a few is the flagship of secondary education".The article attempts to do a thorough and detailed research and experiment to series of education reforms about Liao Shicheng in the affiliated high school of Southeast University, and find out the education reform ideas and method of the characteristics of the education reform, in order to provide some references to secondary education in today’s China.At first, this paper take on a simple introduction to China’s social background and education background when Liao Shicheng did education reforms in the affiliated high school of Southeast University.In the20’s and30’s,the Chinese national government ruling foundation instability; social unrest;these provide a broad space for education reform development; The double effect from the New culture movement and Dewey’s pragmatism education, has prompted the Chinese educators strongly ask for reform of China’s secondary education;Advanced education concepts from nanjing higher normal school university are also important reasons to the affiliated high school of Southeast University education reforms.Secondly, the article attempets to do a detailed introduction and deep analysis to the result and influence of Liao Shicheng series of education reform in the affiliated high school of Southeast University."three-three school system":in facing the intense controversy, educational circles of Cai yuanpei advocated high school period "four-two school system",but Liao Shicheng opinionated, advocate middle school implements the "three-three school system", And lead the first the affiliated high school of Southeast University of "three-three school system"reform experiment. The reform has experienced five times,the result proves that the high school period with appropriate practice the"three-three school system".The curriculum reform: Liao Shicheng led the affiliated high school of Southeast University pioneered branch of the affiliated high school of course selection system, driving system reform in high school; Advocated breaking scholastic year system, adopting the ability grouping method; Depending on the nature of disciplines, provisions a number of compulsory subjects. When Dalton Plan popular in the Chinese educational, Liao Shicheng did not blindly follow suit, But with the scientific experiment, through doing field research in the affiliated high school of Southeast University, with scientific experimental data proving that Dalton plan finally is not applicable for China at that time, it is only applicable to special class of students.Finally, this paper tries to summarize the characteristics and method of a series of education reforms about Liao Shicheng do in the affiliated high school of Southeast University.
