Research On Liao Shicheng's Normal Education Thought And Practice

In 1897,Sheng Xuanhuai established a normal college in Nanyang Public School,marking the beginning of modern normal education in China.Up to now,China's teacher education has been in development for more than 100 years.During this period,China's teacher education has experienced many ups and downs,leaving many experiences and lessons.With the development of Chinese society entering a new era,China's teacher education is also facing many new challenges and problems.Lessons make people wise.Mr.Liao Shicheng,as a well-known modern Chinese educator and university president,has devoted his life to education.He has served as president(dean)of National Normal University,Guanghua University,East China Normal University,Shanghai Normal University,Shanghai Normal University.In his work practice and thinking,he formed his rich thoughts of higher normal education,and left precious practice and exploration experience of higher normal education to future generations.His teacher education thoughts and practice still have important reference value and practical significance for our teacher education reform today.This research is based on Mr.Liao Shicheng 's teacher education thoughts,combined with his teacher education practice,and strives to explore his thinking and knowledge about the nature and laws of higher teacher education,and then puts forward some reference thinking and suggestions for the reform of today 's teacher education.Based on the excavation of Mr.Liao Shicheng's educational career and its influence,this thesis has conducted research from three aspects: Liao Shicheng's teacher education thought and its essence,teacher education management thought and practice,and teacher education thought and practice.The practical inspiration of Mr.Liao Shicheng's thoughts and practice to today's normal education.In terms of specific content,Mr.Liao Shicheng has considered the essence of normal education in terms of the relationship between education and war,education and human development,education and the prosperity of the country,and has proposed six missions of normal education;the system of normal education In accordance with the years,teachers colleges are set up independently,teacher education enrollment is guaranteed,teacher education courses and teaching are considered and practiced;teacher education is considered and practiced with ideal teacher standards as the core,and teacher education is formed in the practice of higher teacher colleges.Teacher thinking.By studying Mr.Liao Shicheng's rich teacher education ideas and practices,it can not only enrich the content of China's higher education history and higher teacher education reform history,but also provide theoretical reference and practical experience for higher teacher education reform in the new period of China.
