With the development of the reformation in the basic education curriculum,the inquiryhas gradually become the focus of attention problems. As the promotion of qualityeducation, education requires comprehensive development. Thus inquiry, the approach tocultivate innovative spirit and practice ability become the essence of the new curriculumreform. The inquiring method of teaching, as a new type of teaching methods is widelyused in the majority of primary and secondary schools. Behavior and ability fromchildhood, introducing the inquiring method of teaching to primary school can helpstudents to establish a sense of exploration and improve students’ skills to analyze andsolve problems as well as the capability of communication and cooperation, better promotethe overall development of students. But, as a result of the long-term influences of thetraditional teaching ways, some of the teachers are aware of some issues insufficiently,such as how to effectively guide the students into learning, how to provide students with amore practice-oriented and active learning environment. Therefore, this research hasconducted the research and the discussion on the strategy of the inquiring method ofteaching in the mathematics classroom of primary schools on the base of practicefoundation.Through the literature analysis, the author will promote the question to be discussedand display a systematic and comprehensive carding of inquiry teaching. Then the authorwill make an analysis of primary mathematics inquiry teaching based on case analysis. Atlast, through the practices the author will summarize some strategies for primarymathematics inquiry teaching.Starting from the representative teaching cases, the entire article will be accomplished according to author’s own teaching experience and practices so it can somewhat analysesthe situation of the teaching problems and construct the understanding of inquiry teaching,putting forward some feasibility strategies for inquiry teaching:to choose right content forinquiry teaching; to improve teachers’ professional quality; let the students obtain directexperience based on mathematical induction and abstraction.
