Young teachers have a high risk of burnout syndrome, it affects not only the normalteaching but the teacher’s own physical and mental health. The burnout syndrome alsoaffects the teachers’ individual livelihood and their families, and it’s not conducive to theirprofessional development at the same time. What’s worse, it is more likely to pose apotential threat to the students’ physical and mental health. So there is a great significanceto study the burnout syndrome of young teachers. In this paper, Wang Fang, Xu Yan’s"Teacher burnout scale" were used to survey on303middle school teachers to find out thescale of burnout in them in Kunshan, supplemented with interviewing. The results are asfollows:(1) Young teachers’ burnout has been widespread currently in Kunshan. Theteachers’ sense of personal accomplishment is higher, and they also have more seriousemotional exhaustion experience, dehumanization and cognitive depletion is also obvious.(2) The level of emotional exhaustion in "31-40years" group was significantly higher thanthe "20-30years" group, the degree of cognitive exhaustion in "41-50years" group wassignificantly higher than the "20-30years" group.(3) The emotional exhaustion among theteachers who have already get the Middle School Intermediate Teacher titles wassignificantly worser than the teachers who got the Middle School Primary Teacher titles.(4)The emotional exhaustion among urban teachers was significantly higher than villageteachers.(5) The degree of emotional exhaustion of teachers who have about10yearsteaching experience are most serious, then it would be Gradually decreased with thepassage of time. With the increase of age, the emotional exhaustion experience in maleteachers are more fluctuating, while female teachers are relatively stable.(6) As a uniquecharacteristics in Chinese teachers’ occupational disease, the emotional exhaustion isgetting worse and worse with the increase of teaching age.(7) Other factors such as gender,position, education, the number of weekly hours, whether head teacher, whether studyabroad and other variables are not significantly different. Finally, based on the results ofanalysis, questionnaires and interviews, this paper put forward to some strategies to intervene and relieve the teacher’s job burnout.
