The Investigation And Research On The Current Situation Of Football Development In Wuxi Vocational Technology High Schools

With the expending of the higher education and the publishing of national policies onvigorously develop occupational education, a large numbers of vocational technology highschools founded. Until now, there are18vocational technology high schools in WUXI city.Among these high schools, there are5provincial schools,10city official authorized schooland3private school. Totally there are more than100,000students in these high schools.Football is the most popular game in these schools, also is the favorite game to thesestudents. It has long-term significance to the students’ physical exercise after theirgraduation. With the development of TEBU University Football League, football invocational technology high schools also has a great and rapid development. The footballmatches during Jiangsu province’s vocational technology high schools are held every year.But the development of the football game in our city is still in a lower level comparingwith the other cities in south Jiansu province.The writer of this thesis has made extensive investigations and researches to thecurrent football conduct situation of12vocational technology high schools in WUXI city.After checking the concerned document literatures, questionnaire surveys, interviewingand discussing, expert surveys and mathematical statistics, the concerned information anddata have been obtained. Combined with the current problems existed in the developmentof football game in our city’s vocational technology high schools, the writer offeredinformation and some suggestions for reference:The result of the investigations to the12vocational technology high schools in ourWUXI city is as follows:1.17%of the high schools use the traditional teaching model of general PE course;25%schools use the teaching model as general PE course in the first term and optional course fromthe second term;50%schools will use the teaching model as optional course from the firstterm on. And there’s one high school which uses the teaching model as Sports Club. 2. The football teachers in WUXI vocational technology high schools mostly areteaching assistants and lecturers. There’s only few associate professors among them. Whiletheir education background mostly are bachelor degree. Only a few football teachers havegraduate degree; Among these12high schools, there are only10professional footballteachers. The ratio of teahcers to students is1:550; The lack of football teacher in our cityis serous. And too few football matches in our WUXI city were arranged, while theabilities of soccer reffrees need to be improved.3. To the students in vocational technology high schools, they have quite more sparetime to take part in the football game. They take part in the football game in order toachieve purposes of fitness and entertainment or improving their tactics or showingthemselves or experiencing the feel of failure and success. But they neglected these uses offootball game such as social contact or adjustment of mind and emotions.4. The carrying out of football matches inside the high school our city is quitebetter,but the matches among different high schools are quite few. To change the currentfootball matches system and improve the level and positivity of football matches betweendifferent high schools, it needs the support and more attention from the competentdepartments. After investigation, we found the main factors which influencing the students’attending to the football game are the football fields and teachers. Theteachers’arrangement and participation have great positive effect to the development of thefootball game.5. If the football field’s equipments in high schools are quite good and plenty, it canachieve the demand of football teaching; Now the football matches in vocationaltechnology high schools of WUXI city are arranged by the students themselves. Thematches scale is small but the enthusiasm of attending is very high. Now most vocationaltechnology high schools in Wuxi city have no football terms. The reasons can be listed asfollws:1. There are no football matches between high schools;2. the lack of capital formatches;3. the leaders’ indifference to football matches.
