A Study Of Conflicts Between Teachers And Students In Senior High Schools And The Strategies Of Solving Them

The relationship between teachers and students is the most common and the mostfundamental of all the relationships related to education. Whether education can be carriedout fluently is determined by it and also it affects the development of education in ourcountry. Because of many factors ranging from teachers， students, schools， parents tothe society， it is almost impossible to avoid the conflicts between teachers and students.Moreover， the new century raises a new challenge how to prevent it efficiently， how toface it properly and how to solve it effectively. This essay combines the theoreticalanalysis，questionnaires of teachers and students，studying the typical case and takesYaosai Middle School as the sample of the study.The first part of the essay mainly refers to the structure and the methods of the study.The second part tells about the definition， the styles， the functions of the teacher-studentconflicts and the present study relevant to it at home and abroad. The third part is all aboutthe questionnaires and the results， then draws some conclusions:1. the teacher-studentconflicts in senior high schools is universal， but may be not so obvious;2. there are manydifferences in gender， grades and so on when it comes to the conflicts between teachersand students. The fourth part analyses the possible factors resulting in the teacher-studentconflicts， such as teachers， students， schools， parents and the society. The last partdeals with several strategies to solve it，saying we should change our opinions about theteacher-student conflicts， and that we can solve it by learning some communicationskills.A harmonious teacher-student relationship and a peaceful social environment arealso helpful.
