Research On Contemporary College Students’ Legal Consciousness In China

In our country, college students’ illegal and crime cases have beenpublished in newspapers frequently. The influential events are such as MaJiajue event in2004and Huang Yang event in2013. Overall, the legalconsciousness of college students in China has improved in small margin.But most of college students’ legal consciousness is still very weak. Itstill stays at the level of perceptual knowledge, and does not yet rise torational knowledge. Some college students break the law even knowingly.Therefore, under this background, the study of the problem ofcontemporary college students’ legal consciousness in China is verynecessary and urgent. To cultivate and improve legal consciousness ofcontemporary college students in China has its inestimable significanceand role.This paper is divided into five parts. The main contents are asfollows:The first part is introduction, mainly including reason andsignificance of the topic, research status at home and abroad, researchideas and methods of the paper, research emphasis, difficulties andinnovation of the paper.The second part is the summary of contemporary college students’legal consciousness in China. Firstly, it is about the summary of legalconsciousness, which mainly introduces the concept and the structure oflegal consciousness. Secondly, it is about the summary of contemporarycollege students’ legal consciousness in China, which mainly introducesconnotation, content, theoretical basis and culture meaning.The third part is the survey of contemporary college students’ legal consciousness in China. First and foremost, it is the survey of collegestudents’ legal consciousness in Inner Mongolia Normal University.Secondly, it is the main performance of contemporary college students’legal consciousness in China, which has two aspects of positive andnegative.The fourth part is the impact factor of contemporary collegestudents’ legal consciousness in China, which is considered mainly fromsociety, schools, families and students. Firstly, it is the the social factor,including imperfect of socialist market economy, imperfect of legalconstruction, effect of traditional concepts, and adverse effects of massmedia and network. Secondly, it is the school factor, including imperfectlegal education of school, and low awareness and quality of collegeworkers and educators. Thirdly, it is the family factor, including the lackof legal quality, one-sidedness of education concept and inappropriateeducation mode. Finally, it is college students’ own factor, includingpsychological development of contradiction, effortlessness of studentsthemselves, one-sidedness of thinking way and utilitarian value targets.The fifth part is the training path of contemporary college students’legal consciousness in China. Firstly, it is the guiding ideology. Secondly,it is to develop principle, including integrity principle, level principle,openness principle and practicality principle. Thirdly, it is the focus ondevelopment, including the rule of law consciousness, legal supremeconsciousness and consciousness of rights and obligations. Finally, it isthe developing methods. From four aspects of the society, school, familyand college students, we can consider comprehensively how to improvelegal consciousness of contemporary college students in China.
