Rural teachers are promoters and performers of rural education, who are the main way to get knowledge for rural students. It is important difficult to pay attention to professional development of teachers in rural areas. It is the key to raise quality and promote fairness of education in China. In2006, China began to implement the plan of special teachers in rural primary and secondary schools (It is called the plan of special).It innovates the supplement mechanism of rural teachers, adjusts the structure of rural teachers, and solves the problems of the difficult employment of graduates. The special teachers have to work in rural schools for three years, if they through the inspection, they have chance to become a formal teacher.As an important part, the special Chinese teachers play a crucial role in promoting the development of rural education. Since2009, there had been804special teachers working in Yanbian, including264the special Chinese teachers. There are37special Chinese teachers in Korean School. There are86teachers in middle school and178teachers in primary school. They are working in59towns in7counties. The special Chinese teachers occupy1/3in a total. Improving their professional level can not only promote the whole level of Chinese teacher in Yanbian, but also plays an important role on the professional development of teacher in Yanbian.The thesis focuses on the special Chinese teachers who were employed from2009to2013in Yanbian. The analysis of the special Chinese teachers is carried out according to the theories of professional development of teacher with questionnaire survey and interviews way. Through the investigation and analysis for four months, it finds that the teachers come to Yanbian with the dream of revitalizing rural education in Yanbian. With new concept, solid knowledge and significant capabilities, they saved a lot of problem for the rural compulsory education, such as lightening shortage pressure, adjusting the age structure of rural teachers and improving teaching level of the rural school. Due to the lack of attention on them, heavy work pressure, the lack of guidance and training on professional development, the space of teachers" professional development is limited, the plan of professional development is fuzzy, the training of professional development is feeble. In view of these problems, it suggests that the governments improve the measures on the plan of matters when the teachers complete their service, and increase investment to make more chance for the teachers" training. The schools should apply more opportunities of training for the teachers and treat them equality to provide development space for the teachers. The special Chinese teachers should try to make a professional development plan and stimulate their own power. The government, school arid teachers work together to create a favorable environment for professional development, to promote development of Yanbian education faster and better.
