The research on the concept of ideological and political education of collegestudents, must focus on the premise, sort out ideas and core concepts such as theideological and political education; focus on total research, putting the concept amongthe history of the concept of ideological and political education for historical study;focus on rational science research, reflecting the prospective of the concept ofideological and political education of college students, in order to realize dialecticaldevelopment of theory and practice.Paper contains four parts:The first part is the theoretical basis of the concept of ideological and politicaleducation. In terms of definition, the concept of the ideological and political educationof college students, is a rational knowledge, persisting pursuit and a ideal system thatreflects the phenomenon and activities of ideological and political education, It can beseparated into concept of value, concept of purpose and concept of development. Interms of features, we insist that it is a unity of political and social, the implicit andexplicit, indirect and direct, reality and ideality, stability and development.The second part is the historical evolution of the concept of ideological andpolitical education. We divide the development of the concept of ideological andpolitical education into three stages, and summed them up as "political" oriented,"service" oriented and people-oriented. To illustrate it better, we introduce the formeras concept of value, concept of purpose, concept of development.The third part is what is the concept of people-oriented of the ideological andpolitical education based on. We sum up the three main basis for people-orientedconcept can be established. Think that establish people-oriented concept is the need tofollow the law of history, to adapt to environmental changes of the times, as long as tofollow the trend of the education.The fourth part is how to put the concept of people-oriented from the ideologicaland political education into practice. In conclusion, relying on rational understandingto reach a basic consensus, make a clear that what is the meaning of the "man" and"what is oriented for" of people-oriented. Relying on a reasonable plan to highlightthe consensus vision, make a system integration on objectives and tasks, content andmethods, and the principles. Relying on long-term mechanism to achieve the vision,by establishing a scientific leadership system, a condominium force system and ateam mechanisms to put the guiding value of the concept of people-oriented intoreality.
