Teachers’ Mental health diathesis is the core element of teachers’ comprehensivediathesis. When interacting with environment, it is external manifestations of self-sustained and positive psychological well-functioning.The current mental health of teachers is not optimistic, and even worse; mentalhealth differences among different groups of primary and secondary school teachersalso increased year by year. Thus, this study aims to teachers’ professionalcharacteristics, discussing the structure and characteristics of the current mental healthdiathesis of primary and secondary teachers, then helping teachers to improve theirmental health diathesis, promoting development of teachers mental, providingtheoretical basis for Teachers’ Mental Health Diathesis Evaluation System.The participants composed by12primary and secondary school teachers from12counties of Jilin and10primary and secondary school teachers from two counties ofHunan. Depth interviews from first-hand information about teachers’ mental healthdiathesis, including13hours of recording of82pages nearly90,000words of textinformation, and some interview notes and memos, using a bottom-up qualitativeresearch methods–grounded theory to code and analyze the following conclusions:1. Primary and secondary school teachers’ mental health diathesis in the generalstructure of Mental Health is divided into eight dimensions, such as cultural,appreciation, emotional regulation, positive guidance, love, kindness, open-minded,positive and optimistic, which reflecting cognitive, emotional, behavioral andpersonality of primary and secondary school teachers’ mental health diathesisrespectively.2. The structure of professional mental health diathesis in primary and secondaryschool teachers’ mental health diathesis is mainly reflected in teaching andmanagement. Among them, the teaching structure including understanding objectivesand teaching; the management structure including understanding and communicatingwith students, as well as proper and flexible response.3. It should be two aspects of general diathesis of mental health and professionaldiathesis mental health quality to consider primary and secondary school teachers’mental health diathesis, not only to develop individual’s cognitive, emotional,behavioral and personality, but also focus on professional upgrade of teaching andmanagement.
