Geography textbooks is the foundation to realize the goal of geography education, geography textbook is an important part of the reform of geography education.The educational level of Japan is relatively developed.It is one of the most importance to the foundation geography education country in the world.A comparative study between China and Japan on senior school geography textbook, thinking and summary of the characteristics,reference and absorption the advantages on senior school geography textbook of Japanese,the significant of the promotion to Chinese senior school geography curriculum reform and compose geography textbooks.The article selects Xiangjiao versionof(Geography Ⅰ)、(Geography Ⅱ)、(GeographyⅢ) compulsory textbooks and the Japanese Imperial Academy version of (the new geography A)(new detailed geographic B)restricted choice of compulsory textbooks as the object of study.Through the literature research method,comparative method,comprehensive analysis,case analysis and other methods,the first of definition curriculum standard,curriculum and textbooks of two senior school geography, then the two sets of textbooks in general content and specific content selection and comparative analysis studies.On this basis, on the view of Style writing comparative analysis The overall structure,Columns and appendix of the two sets of textbooks.The focus is the text,image and system of the two sets of textbooks in three aspects of specific comparative analysis,especially compared to the image system of the two textbooks.Finally the summary conclusion of the above research, put forward suggestions on the construction of the Xiangjiao version senior school geography textbook.In the aspect of the selection of contents:the increase in the number of cases in regional geography; pay attention to the geographical concept description; textbook selection should keep pace with the times.In the style of writing:Increasing the column types; pay attention to the cognitive psychological characteristics of students.In the system aspect:representation of text content should emphasize the scientific,scientific comprehensive and accountable;lead to clear learning objectives and learning content;increase the number of cases.In the image system:increase the number of image; enhancement of practical application of remote sensing image; properly set cartoon image;pay attention to the use of statistical charts; flexible use of various combination of images; to strengthen matching degree between the image and text, the image and the text;perfect the characteristic of image, pay attention to the protection of intellectual property rights;materials to be close to life, keep pace with the times.In the activity system:study the guidance of process and methods;balance to activity design difficulties.
