In twenty-first Century, China is facing many challenges. One of the methods for answering these challenges is to reform. Education is a great career related to the future of a nation. In order to adapt to social development and cultivate all kinds of talented persons, Education reform is being carried out in full swing. Curriculum reform is the center of education reform which is also as the sally port of curriculum reform. Textbook plays a very important role in the process of education.The text introduce the situation of eighth basic educational reform firstly,then use the methods of literature to review the developments of high school biology textbook of China. Review the present situation of comparative study on bio logy textbook. Taking the curriculum standard as the basis, tell about the content characteristics and significance of < Steady State and Environment> module of High School Bio logy Textbook in the method of literature analys is and content analysis. Use the method of literature analys is, content analys is, analysis of teaching material to compare the d ifference in writing structure, column setting, exerc ise design, illustration of PEP and BNU vers ion. The study found that: the two editions have similarities and their own characteristics. The same point present in: two edition textbooks are pay more attention to the training of theory and practice,improve students’ ability and emotion attitude.PEP have rich columns and colorful activities, concept map is novel and unique, pay more attention to knowledge integration between the disciplines. BNU version is famous for its strong system, pay attention to practical ab ility and students’ awareness of protecting environment. Through the analysis and comparison of the two edition, in combination with the new concept of curriculum reform, the text put forward some suggestions in how to teach students and how to learn of <Steady State and Environment>. That is, teachers in the teaching process can not ignore the process and student,think highly of strengthen their own learning skills. The students should pay attention to master the basic concepts in this module and connect the theory with their practical life.
