Since the Reform and Opening-up, social economy and education constantly changed anddeveloped. However, the phenomenon of teacher loss began to appear in the rural teachers andbecame serious. This phenomenon has not only affected the development but also exacerbatedthe imbalances between urban and rural education.. It is crucial to stabilize the teaching staff,prevent and reduce the non-benign loss of the rural teachers for the development of the localeducations. For the full understanding of the behavior of teacher loss, thereby effectivelypreventing and reducing the loss, it is significant to concern about their real idea, to deeplyunderstand this intention of the loss and to conduct a scientific statistics and analysis.Dongjin town is located in Xiangzhou District, Xiangyang City in Hubei Province. As arelatively backward town, there are large differences in the economic, cultural, educationaldevelopment between Dongjing town and the other towns in this region.In this paper, Dongjin town school was set up for the example. On the basis of thecombination of the anonymous questionnaires and on-site interviews of the school in-serviceteachers, a thorough investigation and statistical analysis of the phenomenon of teacher losswas conducted. The main contents include: interpretation of the main factors affecting theteacher loss and intention in this region, concerning about the teachers prone to loss, exploringeffective methods and ways to prevent and reduce the loss, providing a reference for theprevention of teacher loss in the similar underdeveloped areas.Paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is an introduction. The second chapteris analysis of the situation of teacher loss in Dongjin town in Xiangyang city. The third chapteris the main reason of teacher loss in Dongjin town in Xiangyang city. The fourth chapter is thesuggestion countermeasure to reduce teacher loss in Dongjin town in Xiangyang city. The fifthchapter is the summary and reflection of the teacher loss in the rural school.The paper is based on the anonymous questionnaires and on-site interviews of the schoolin-service teachers. The basic points of this paper are: the group of the teachers in localprimary and secondary school are unstable, the loss intention is very strong in a certain part ofthe teachers. Many factors together caused the loss of teachers in this region which include:government and social factors, school factors, teachers’ personal factors and so on.Accordingly, suggestions and countermeasures are proposed to prevent and reduce teacherloss:1. In government and society, develop the regional economy and reduce the economicdisparities; concern about the development of education, improve educational infrastructureand environment; enhance the social status of teachers.2. In education sector, establish macro-deployment mechanisms, focus on education resources scarce areas; establish ascientific and reasonable teacher evaluation system; organize teacher training activities,encourage teacher to further train and study.3. Establish humane management mechanism,communicate effectively; implement the remuneration, rich incentive system; arrange morereasonable working hours and increase the learning opportunities.4. Teachers concerned familyand personal life, the provision of housing, and life to help。...
