The12th Five-Year is a critical period for Jiangxi Province to build a civilized, harmoniousand prosperous well-off society. It is also an important period for pushing the secondaryvocational education in the province to continue development in a scientific, healthy, and orderlyway. How to drive the fast development of secondary vocational education in Jiangxi from thereality of Jiangxi province, from the development laws of secondary education, from therequirements of social economy, remains one of the most important matters that require theauthoritative education departments at all levels in Jiangxi to consider seriously, pay full attentionto and make great efforts to resolve.The National Long and Middle-Term Education Reform and Development Plan Outline(2010-2020) has one chapter dedicated to Fast Development of Vocational Education. Put in aprominent position, it is stated as one of the eight focuses for the next ten years. The12thFive-Year Plan of the Education Development in Jiangxi has a special section for ’VigorouslyDeveloping Vocational Education’. It proposes to "improve the environment of vocationaleducation development","build financial investment guarantee mechanism", while explicitlyrequests to fasten developing a criteria of faculty structure in secondary vocational schools thatcan fit the new environment of secondary education, implement a system of ’fixed positions butunfixed people’, enhance the autonomy and flexibility of faculty employment in secondaryvocational schools to choose the right talents for special professional development. It hasimportant practical significance for scientific and comprehensive study of the faculty structure insecondary vocational schools in Jiangxi.The research on the faculty structure of secondary vocational schools in Jiangxi shouldincorporate the reality of local economic and social development, remain consistent with theoverall objectives of the national reform and development of secondary vocational education, andlearn from the successful experience of secondary vocational schools in other provinces and citieson allocation of teaching resources. Finally, it requires the technology and methods of scientifichuman resources forecasting and allocation. Based on all this, this article discusses the facultyframework of secondary vocational schools in Jiangxi, raises preliminary ideas and suggestionsfor the total number, structure and proportion of faculty in secondary vocation schools in Jiang.
