| The future and hope for a country depends on teenagers’ overall quality. In real life, the physicalhealth of teenagers in our country is not ideal. In the middle school with a lot of students in the villages andtowns, the students’ physical health problems can not get the attention they deserve due to various reasons.In order to strengthen students’ physique, it also conducts a series of teaching reform in our country, Thepromulgation and implementation of a series of files make the sports teaching conditions in middle schoolsin villages and towns generally changed. But education has its own characteristics in different parts, so itpresents the different present status of sports teaching.This paper adopts the research methods, including the documentary method, survey method,mathematical method, and logic method, etc. to make the investigation and analysis of sports teachingsituation in township middle school in Gushi County, taking the middle schools within the county as theobjects, namely Quanhe first middle school, Zhangguang first middle school, North Daqiao town middleschool, Guolutan middle school, Chenlinzi middle school, Lidian middle school, Huzu middle school,Shifu middle school, Huanggang middle school in Jiangji town and Caomiao first middle school. Throughthe investigation and analysis on the present situation of sports teaching in township middle schools inGushi County, this paper puts forward some suggestions aiming at the problems existing in the sportsteaching,The results shows that:1. The number of PE (physical education) teachers of middle school in Gushi County, on the wholecan meet the needs of physical education teaching, but is uneven distribution. Sports teacher in someschools are very few; and special projects of PE teachers are so concentrated that is unfavorable forconducting a variety of projects.2. PE teachers of middle school in Gushi County mainly have the undergraduate course, whichpresents a trend of getting younger teachers’ age structure, but with inexperienced teaching.3. Though the leadership, PE teachers and head teachers in the township middle schools in GushiCounty can be able to realize the importance of the new curriculum standard, it is not optimistic for thesituation of carrying out the new curriculum standard. Only a handful of township middle schools can do the PE teaching according to the new curriculum standard.4. It is common for PE teachers to have other subjects in the township middle school in Gushi County.The school pays attention to cultivate the comprehensive teaching for sports teachers, thus PE teachershave the big workload but with the low salary. Schools have the unreasonable evaluation methods for PEteachers’ job.5. In the sports teaching, it is not ideal for township middle school in Gushi County to implement thenew curriculum standard. The P.E. class number could not reach the requirements of the state and often beoccupied; Sports teaching still gives priority to the traditional teaching mode because of the lack of groundsand apparatus, and low levels of PE teachers’ understanding of the new curriculum standard.6. There are more evaluation methods on students’ physical education learning in the township middleschools in Gushi County. Teachers can evaluate the students’ physical education learning from variousperspectives, so the evaluation forms are various and evaluation methods are reasonable. |
