A Research Of New Generation Of Rural Migrants’ Social Integration

The problem of migrant workers was a comprehensive product of politics, economy, social system and many other factors, in the background of urbanization, industrialization and social structure of urban and rural dual economy in our country. It was a concomitant of the phenomenon of migrant workers and was also a continuously emerging social issue. New generation of migrant workers have many features which are different from the first generation. Born in the late1980s, grew up in the countryside, they moved into urban in the middle1990s at their working age. They were a group that registered in rural hometown but worked in the city. New generation of migrant workers have a strong will to integrate into the city, but they can not be completely fused for various obstacles. By focusing on new generation of migrant workers and strengthening the research of their adaption to city, we can understand the new generation of migrant workers, explore the rule of their adaption, improve their adaptability; avoid the conflict and improve the quality of life. It also has important significance to promote the harmonious development between urban and rural areas.This paper includes three chapters, including the introduction, main body and conclusion.The introduction mainly introduces the research background, research methods and research significance. Starting with the definition of new generation migrant workers and social integration, the body then discusses the present situation of the social integration in shaoxing and analyzes the influencing factors. This paper also analyzed the integration situation from the level of economic, social and psychological by an empirical analysis. Based on the above three levels, this paper put forward the corresponding countermeasures to promote the social integration of new generation of migrant workers. The Conclusion part points out that this study is limited and outlook for future research.From the empirical analysis this paper found that:1. the social integration of new generation of migrant workers in Shaoxing was good but economic integration was still in bad condition;2. Economic integration has not caused great and direct influence to the will of setting as expected, while the psychological integration has crucial influence it;3. female new generation migrant workers in all aspects of the fusion stay a disadvantage position compared with male, their integration degree is inferior to men, the reason comes from women itself and their social role and so on.4. Social plane fusion and psychological level fusion has a very "close" relationship. The government and the migrants themselves should make efforts to improve their social integration and psychological integration, in order to drive other related integrations so as to promote the overall level of social integration.5. Psychological integration and cultural integration are two closely related variables they mutually affect and promote. Accepting and absorbing of local culture will naturally improve psychological fusion degree of rural migrant workers.
