During the recent years, with the rapid development of the socialist market economy, the higher education is expanded in large scale and the number of the college graduates is constantly increased. The situation of " unemployment upon graduation " has become a general issue faced by most graduates. And the graduates’ employment has also become an important issue that is related to the personal development, the happiness of the families, the stability of the society and the development of the country. Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China, has said "The issue of employment is an eternal topic, and even a tough problem throughout the world". And the Third Plenary Session of the18th Central Committee has proposed five new measures to solve this issue. Those information shows that this issue draws more and more attention from all sectors of society. Therefore, helping the college students to foster right value of choosing job is a topic that is needed to study and solve urgently by the universities and society.The college students’ value of choosing job is an idea and attitude formed by combining the study experience with their own’s requirement to their future employment. It is also an awareness reflected in the behavior in the process of choosing job. It is consists of five elements, including psychological motivation, the ideational purpose, the cognition to the employment, value orientation to future job and the way to find the job, which are characterized with sociality, epochal character, main initiative, professionalism and personal difference.With the strengthening of the independent-and competitive consciousness of the college students, the value of choosing job shows a certain trend. The value orientation of choosing job is diversified, and the consciousness of entrepreneurship, fairness and legality is gradually enhanced. However, simultaneously, there are some problems in the value of choosing job. For example, the ideational purpose of future job is too ambitious; value orientation is too utilitarian; the credit consciousness is lacked and the mentality is not stable.In view of the problems in the value of choosing job, the thesis analyzes the cause of the problems from the aspects of college students, society, colleges and universities and families and also put forward some strategies in accordance with those four aspects. Firstly, the college students should set up career goals and strength psychological endurance while promoting the comprehensive ability. Secondly, the society should normalize the employing unit and the employment market; the government should give more support to that; the social media should give right guidance. Thirdly, the colleges and universities should rationalize the structure of the major, strength the education of entrepreneurship and make the education of value of choosing job and guidance to the employment throughout the whole period of undergraduate. Finally, the families should update the concept and have reasonable expectation to their children, who are college students. The thesis expects to help the college students foster right value though the cooperation of all sectors of society.
