The ideological and political theory course developed in colleges and universities worksas the main carrier, channel and front on conducting education about Marxist theory, andthese relevant teachers of the ideological and political theory course are preachers of Marxisttheory and the Communist Party’s line, principles and policies; are the transmitters of socialistideology and spiritual civilization; are the directors and mentors of college students abouthealthy upbringing, and their professional level directly relates to the destiny of the countryand its long-term development. Therefore, to strengthen the construction of teaching staffs ofthe ideological and political theory course and to improve their professional level are of greatsignificance.With the advent of a new era of capital, the proposal of the scholastic concept―thepsychological capital has attracted increasingly groups of people to concern and researchabout it. Xu Yan, a professor of psychology in Beijing Normal University Psychology School,emphasized:“the psychological capital is an everlasting power stored in our deep hearts,which is the driving force to achieve the sustainable development in our life”. Composed of avariety of elements, the psychological capital, which greatly impacts the cognitive processes,job satisfaction and work performance, can represent a positive state about the task,performance and success in a particular situation of the individual.This paper happens to discuss how to promote college teachers’ specialization of theideological and political theory course under the visual threshold of the psychological capitalwith four parts.The first part of this article proposes the correspondent background, purposes, meaning,status, ideas, content and methods, as well as the innovation point, all these which aim atclarifying the original purpose of this question and pointing out that strengthening collegeteachers’ specialization of the ideological and political theory course is a crucial and urgenttask. The following part illustrates the relevant concepts and characteristics of thepsychological capital, the ideological and political theory course and its teachers’specialization via analyzing, and comparing some associative literature, which contribute toaccurately grasping the application of the psychological capital in the field of collegeteachers’ specialization about the ideological and political theory course.The third part searches, collects and analyzes some related literature and data to indicatethat the current status of college teachers’ specialization about the ideological and politicaltheory course, and analyze the causes of their current status.The last part raises some effective ways about developing the psychological capital ofthe relevant college teachers and promoting teachers’ specialization of the professionalautonomy; increasing the positive trial, enhancing college teachers’ self-efficacy; convertingthe cognitive model, cultivating the professional confidence; actively creating the positioncondition and enhancing the tenacity.
