Each discipline has its main disciplines of thought and subject characteristics, of course,geography is no exception. Geography is a natural science and social science connecting"bridge science." Geography master the scientific method is more realistic than the mastergeographic knowledge. Geography master general approach helps students to understand theknowledge of geography, geographical phenomena, processes and causes of geography,culture and geography students thinking geographic perspective.Regional geography teaching in secondary schools mainly PEP compulsory3, the maincontent is based on the physical geography and human geography, regional background,explore the comprehensive development and utilization of its internal resources, sustainabledevelopment and linkages with other regions and coordinated development. Geographygeneral method of inquiry teaching in compulsory education3will have a greater value.Articles in Siping City, Jilin Province three different levels of high school conducted asample survey of the status of geography teaching middle school area were investigated, andexplore strategies using the general method of geography in high school geography teachingon this basis.Paper is divided into six parts, each part of the main contents are as follows:Chapter one is an introduction. Based on their own ideological geography teachingmethods, students can not only subject of inquiry is also exploring ways to help students self-knowledge. Geography teaching in secondary schools, teachers and students use geographymethods for geography learning methods are not in place. Therefore, this paper based on theabove background, the geography has combed the scientific method, a method summed valueof geography education, and refining in the book based on the scientific method GeographicGeography general method suitable for use in high school teaching, and to further determinehow geography teaching geography in general research methods based on the questionnaire.According to the above basic idea put forward the significance of this research, research andresearch objectives, research methods and procedures, as well as the structural framework ofthis article.Chapter two is an overview of geography methods and educational value. References extensive literature, geography scientific method to tease out the theoretical system of thesystem of three levels of methods briefly discusses and summarizes the scientific methodgeography educational value.Chapter three is geography teaching geography in general method. On the basis of thelast chapter of the geography of the combing method, to extract the general method can beapplied geography and taught geography teaching in secondary schools, and geographygeneral methods in detail.Chapter four is a middle school teaching situation of regional geography survey andanalysis. Article on the use of mathematical statistics, survey data were collated and evaluated.The findings show that the use of teachers and teaching geography methods are not in place,the students’ understanding of geography and learning methods are not in place accordingly,should strengthen high school geography teachers and students to develop a method in termsof geography.Chapter five is the use of the general method of study geography in high schoolgeography teaching. PEP compulsory3as an example to explain the use of the generalmethod of study geography in high school geography teaching, and summed up the basicsteps of the corresponding general method of geography in high school geography teaching.Conclusion and Discussion: By combing the scientific method of geography summary, aswell as its use of strategic studies at the secondary school geography teaching, to extract thebasic conclusions of the article. Meanwhile, the status of secondary school geographyteaching knowledge, innovation of this paper pointed out; and research were discussed inthis paper points out the inadequacies of this study.
