The female population is an important part of the human society, and thecorresponding changes in this group is considered as an important measure of thehuman civilization. In the long history, Chinese women has been under the doubleoppression of class and gender, and the liberation is a long way, but their pursuit offreedom and independence efforts have never stopped. Just so, at the end of theeighteenth century women’s liberation movement with the bourgeois revolution wasthriving. For Chinese women, women’s liberation is more twists and turns. In theperiod of the Republic of China, profound changes Chinese society, and women’sliberation is served, entering a rapid development period of deepening and longitudinal.The Gan Qing area’s women with times the surging tide, seizing this period ofopportunities, they called loudly, and untiringly struggle to promote their own liberationand improve the social status of women’s liberation, and it has left a glorious page inChinese history.This paper is divided into five sections. The first chapter is the introduction part.The second chapter is about the local politics and power fluctuation in the Republic ofChina period in Gansu and Qinghai area, and mainly by the change of political situationtalking about the political background of women’s Liberation in Gan Qing area of theperiod of the Republic of China. The third chapter specifically talk about the status ofwomen in the Republic of China in Gansu and Qinghai changes, mainly discussed indepth by the education boby concept, family and marriage, the right to politicalparticipation and employment point of view, and show changes in the status of womenin these new changes. The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the driving force changes ofwomen status in Gan Qing region, and discusses various factors restricting the statuschanges. The fifth chapter mainly discusses the characteristics of the change of women’s status in Gan Qing and their influence on the local society and itsenlightenment to modem society.
