After the rise of the Restoration thought,the founder of modern education requirements across the country is growing hot.Anqing modern education is also emerging in this context.As foreign new ideas are constantly introduced into the Anqing area,the late Tongcheng school,who has always been indispensable to education gradually realized the backwardness and decay of the traditional old education,which centered on the imperial examination system.At this time the Tongcheng school has entered the late stage,under the clash of the old and new ideas and the State Bureau of critical,the late Tongcheng School advocated education reforming to save the nation.They took active action in the reform and promoted the development of modern new education in Anqing by their own practice.The article is divided into three parts,aimed to introduce the new educational practice of late Tongcheng school,which represented by Wu Rulun,Yanfu,Yao Yonggai at the late Qing dynasty to the beginning of the Republic of China.The first part starts with the social factors of Anqing region and the subjective factors of Tongcheng school in the late Qing Dynasty,to introduce the background of the late Tongcheng school's modern education practice in Anqing area.At the end of the Qing Dynasty and the beginning of the Republic of China,the overall social environment in Anqing region was in line with the situation of the whole country.Political turmoil,the slow development of the semi-colonial and semi-feudal economy,the coexistence of old and new in culture and education,the overall situation was in internal and external difficulties.Because of their special status,the late Tongcheng school writers have high cultural accomplishment,and change their own cultural values actively in the impact of old and new ideas.Driven by the two factors,the late Tongcheng School advocated education reform to save the country,and actively explored the new-style education in Anqing.The second part starts with the personal experiences of Wu Rulun,Yan Fu and Yao Yonggai,and excavates and analyzes in detail the new-type educational practice of the late Tongcheng school in Anqing region,which represented by the three during the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.Take Wu Rulun founded Tongcheng School,Yan Fu reform and reorganization of higher education institutions in Anhui Province,and Yao Yonggai served as supervision of Anhui Normal School as typical case.Detaily discuss what they try their best to make every effort for the development of modern new education in Anqing in the aspects of the reform and reorganization of traditional education,the establishment of a new school and the advocacy of learning advanced Western knowledge and so on.Which under the guidance of the idea of saving the nation by education reform.The third part discusses the impact of the new-style education practice of Tongcheng School from three aspects of politics,economy and culture and education respectively.The development of new-style education and the increase of new-style schools have provided a group of new talents with real knowledge and real knowledge for the development of modern society in Anqing area.To some extent,it changed the structure of social talent at that time.With the continuous introduction of new ideas,people in the region have become more aware of advanced Western scientific culture and democratic ideas,and their ideas and concepts have changed gradually.Overall,their new educational practices had an undeniable impact on Anqing area.
