“love” education is an important part of school education. Influenced bybody-and-mind development, middle school period is the one in which the middleschools’ students look forward to love, and also the students can whether foster rightlove view or not. Therefore it is significant to educate the students on love timely andappropriately. Rich humanistic value in Chinese textbooks provides luxuriousadvantage for love education, and the works about love in Chinese textbooks are thetools by which the teachers educate the students. Through the works about love, theteachers guide the students to establish healthy love view, values and view of life.The study takes the present PEP edition of Chinese textbooks for example, andthe introduction centers on the research of signification, present situation and methods.Beginning with the basic theory on the adolescents’ love, the first chapter introducesrelated concepts in the works about love. The second chapter analyzes the distribution,contents and reasons using documental approach, and analyzes the cases usingexample approach to conclude the present teaching situation of the works about lovethat is the unequal relationship between teachers and students and the disorganizedcontent about the after-school expansion. In the third chapter, the author proposes theteaching strategies on the works about love that the teachers should grasp aestheticappreciation, dig the unique humanistic value of works, try to optimize the step ofcourse expansion, and launch extracurricular activities.
