What makes geography difficult for senior high students is the improper transitional learning between junior and senior high schools. To improve it, this article, based on practical teaching and geographical and educational theories, illustrate a research on it in terms of curriculum, teaching method and learning. Besides the prologue, the article is divided into five parts; Part one focuses on the status change on geography as a high school course and the emerging of transition lack. Part two compares and analyzes the differences between geography ci ulum in junior and senior high schools and proposes possible strategies. Part three compares and analyzes the teachings differences and propose transitional teachings strategies. Part four compares and analyzes the learning differences in students and proposes transitional learning strategies. The epilogue concludes the author’s opinions. Through his research, the author finds that complicated as the transitional teaching is, the transition in curriculum, teaching and learning are the key aspects. The better success achieved in these three aspects are, the better transition can be obtained in geography teaching between junior and senior high schools.
