Today,with the continuous development of economic globalization and cultural diversity,college students’ ideological concept, value orientation, moral level, psychological state, etchave greatly changed, and this change both brought opportunities to the educational work incollege and universities, also faced with severe challenges. In this situation, it is only on theclassroom teaching of colleges and universities can’t meet the students’ thirst for knowledge,also can’t meet the needs of social development. Therefore, colleges and universities to carryout the practice of education is not only to cope with increasingly fierce internationalcompetition, improve the objective need of the comprehensive national strength; Is alsonecessary requirement to comprehensively implement the party’s education policy, theimplementation of quality education, promote the healthy growth of college students.However, the colleges and universities of practice education has some questions, such as lackof attention to practice education; organization and management is not standard; assessmentsystem and security system are not perfect, etc. These let students practice education functioncan not fully play. Therefore, colleges and universities must implement the party’s educationpolicy, improve the degree of attention to the practice education, develop a scientific andperfect rules and regulations about running inspiring evaluating, to form a long-termmechanism of practice education at colleges and universities, to promote college students’social practice education function into fully play,cultivating high quality talents, contribute tosocialist modernization.In this paper, on the basis of existing achievements, has the education function of socialpractice, the existence question and its approach were discussed. Firstly, overview of a basiceducation on college students’ social practice, expounds the connotation of college students’social practice education, characteristics and theoretical basis. Secondly, the educationfunction of college students’ social practice in the paper, in detail elaborated the ideologicaland moral education function, and improving the function of college students’ comprehensive ability and social features. Thirdly, the present situation of the college students’ social practiceeducation function. On the basis of the empirical research, analysis the present situation ofcollege students’ social practice education. Achievement is theoretical studies have advanced,guiding work continuously strengthen, and the running mechanism continuously improve.But still have ideological understanding is not deep, Organization and management don’treach the designated position, Evaluation system is imperfect, Security system is not soundand so on. Finally, according to the problems to puts forward five measures, namely,intensifypropaganda, improve the understanding of practice education function; Strengthen theorganization and management, ensure the practice education of orderly; Improve theincentive mechanism, strengthen the practice of educating function; Improve the securitysystem, to ensure the sustainable development of the practice education; Perfect theevaluation system to guarantee the dynamic development of educational practice.
