An Empirical Research On The Current Situation And The Problems For Higher Vocational Students’ Substitution Internship In Tianjin

Internship makes full use of the specialized equipment, technology and other resourcesunder the background of university-enterprise cooperation. It is not only an important way tocultivate the students’ practical ability and comprehensive quality, but also an effective methodsto strengthen the ability of integrating theory with practice and shorten the students’ adaptationperiod from the school to the social work. However, in actual work, there are some problems.The situation of internship of higher vocational students is not very optimistic.The research applies the empirical method to investigate and analysis the problems on thepresent situation of the internships in higher vocational colleges students in Tianjin. Threecolleges of Tianjin are selected as the research sample. interview the school leadership, relevantperson, the teacher and students, and hand out self-made questionnaire to the students of twoschools of the internship, and study into one enterprise of Tianjin at the same time. Through theinvestigation of many sided, get the present situation of the internship as follows: Overallstudents are satisfied with the internship; Most internship unit are private enterprises and adoptrotation; the Content of internship is not high relevant with professional correlation; Studentsfeel a greater intensity of work; salary shows polarization according to the discipline nature;There are significant differences in science and engineering classes and liberal arts colleges inthe process to carry out of process in internships; Teachers lack the guidance to the students;Evaluation is lack of depth; Students’ personal safety awareness is relatively low. According tothe situation, analyze problems existing in the internships in higher vocational college in Tianjinfrom three sides which are laws and policies, school-enterprise cooperation mechanism, studentmanagement. And further to state the causes of these problems from three points which are theinternships system, awareness of those involved persons, requirements and difficulties.By analyzing the problems and causes, combined with summary of subjective questions ofthe questionnaire and the interviews with three school, enterprise, students, put forwardcorresponding countermeasures and suggestions: Perfect internship system of higher vocationalcolleges, establish a protection mechanism; deepen the reform of vocational colleges teaching,have a good organization and preparation; a platform for interaction between schools andenterprises is established, strengthen supervision during internships and education; promotehigher vocational education docking to business of Binhai New Area in Tianjin.
