Higher vocational education is a kind of productivity. In the era of knowledgeeconomy, the contribution of education to economic development is more obvious,education as the main form of human capital investment, is a important means ofseeking to maximize the economic benefit, improving the level of productivity, gettingwin-win of education and the economy.Based on the important thought of National long-term Education Reform andDevelopment Plan; Based on constant improving the vocational education system inconjunction with the Economic and Social of "National Education Development TwelfthFive-Year Plan", the establishment of local industries with local advantages andcharacteristics and advantages of the docking mechanism with discipline, promotepersonnel training chain, technological innovation chain and closely integrated valuechain; Based on the problem of Xi’an economic development; Based on the deficienciesof Xi’an Higher vocational education stage, and fewer vocational study to localcoordination of Xi’an Higher vocational education and economic development, In thispaper, the study is researched for the above problem. Through research, analysisingXi’an economic development and Higher vocational education, look for problems inXi’an Vocational Education, Research shows that the Xi’an slow economic growth is forthe reason that the vocational education is not suited to the needs of economicdevelopment in Xi’an. By improving vocational education to enhance the economicdevelopment in Xi’an, deliver more useful talents for the ancient city’s economicgrowth.In this thesis, the theoretical support are the external relations law of education,human capital theory, sustainable development theory, research methods such as literature research, case studies, questionnaires and interviews. On the basis of thehigher vocational education and the local economic development at home and abroad,learn from the results of previous studies, describes the relationship between vocationaleducation and the economy, designing the questionnaire according to admission feessatisfaction, professional setting, curriculum, six dimensions of teaching practice,teachers and employment prospects, analyze the problems of higher vocationaleducation in Xi’an. Through case studies, summary of results achieved and thedevelopment of specialized school, get reference and inspiration. Through the manyissues explored, In this paper, optimizing the structure of talent training, improving thequality of personnel training are proposed from individuals, schools, businesses,government;Clarify educational ideas, close to the needs of society;Deepen reform,strengthen innovation; Improve the capacity to teach cooperation and docking,strengthen the role of industry guidance;Efforts to create a good social environment;strengthen government responsibility, improve system construction and other aspects ofthe economy to promote the coordinated development of vocational education in Xi’anand local suggestions.The ultimate goal of this study is to basis on terrain features resources foreconomic development of Xi’an and the surrounding urban and rural areas, Combinedwith the "three rural ", Find a way suitable for the development of vocational educationand local economic coordination in Xi’an, thereby improving vocational educationprovide a useful reference, to promote economic development in Xi’an...
