Purpose: this research aims at analyzing the effects of drop-:sprint plyometric training and drop-jump plyoinetric training on sports specific agility of flag football players, through an experiment of Bei jing Sport University flag football team trained by these two different types of plyometric training, hoping to find a more effective training method to improve agility of football players. Methods: i n this research 30 players have heen chosen from Beijing Sport University flag football teary, as required, and randomly separated into 3 groups, with 1(1 in each. Rut one person from the control. group had injured ;so that this group only contains 9 people. The drop-springt group was trained by drop-sprint plyometric training; the drop-jump group was’ trained by drop-jump plometric training; and the control group did only football passing at the same, time: After 6 weeks training; tests of running agility, lower body speed strength and reactive strength index are implemented, and the data of each group were compared. Results: both of these two types of pvometr-c training, drop-sprint plyometrie training and drop-jump plyometric training can improve the agility of flag football players (P<0.05), including change of direction running speed, lower body speed strength and RSI.On the aspects of change of direction running speed, drop-sprint plyometric training has stronger effect than drop-jump plyometric training P<0.01); while on the aspects of jumping ability of the athletes, drop-jump plyometric training has stronger effects than drop-sprint plyometri c training (P<0. (?1)Conclusion: Foth drop-sprint plyonetric’ training and drop-jump plyometric training can improve flag football players’ agility, lower’ body speed strength, and RSi. To improve the players’ CODS ability, drop-sprint pIyornetric (.raining has an advantge over drop-jamp plyometric training. However to improve the players’vertcal jump performance, drop-jump plyometric training has an advantage over drop-sprint plyometric training.
