| Background: Agility is an important factor affecting athletic ability,basketball players should have the quality of change of speed and stability,so the training of agility is particularly important for basketball players.plyometric training has been widely used in the strength and conditioning of basketball players,which has a significant effect on improving the physical performance of athletes,such as jumping and sprinting.However,whether plyometric training can improve the agility of basketball players,and the difference in the effect of horizontal and vertical training are still controversial,so the application of plyometric training in different directions in the agility training of basketball players is worth research.Objective: To verify the influence of plyometric training in horizontal and vertical directions on the agility of basketball players,analyze its mechanism,provide practical experience and theoretical research reference materials for scientific physical training.Methods: Using the literature material law,experimental research and questionnaire,set 30 male students majoring in athletic training/physical education of Guangzhou Sport university as experimental subjects,were randomly divided into 3groups: horizontal plyometric training group(horizontal PT group),vertical plyometric training group(vertical PT group),and control traditional resistance training group(control RT group).The intervention period was divided into 3consecutive stages for a total of 8 weeks,the intervention frequency was 2 times/week,and 30 min per training course.The 505 test,hexagon test,T test,PRO test,and Y agility test were used to test and evaluate the agility of athletes;The basic strength and conditioning of athletes was evaluated by 30-meter straight sprinting,squat 1RM,counter movement jump height(CMJ-Height),and drop jump reaction strength index(DJ-RSI).28 m × 2 sprinting,15 m × 17 shuttle running,push medicine ball at sitting,previous step vertical jump to assess the basketball special physical fitness of objects;Body composition include body mass index(BMI),skeletal muscle content,and body fat percentage.Results:(1)After the experiment,the agility of horizontal PT group and vertical PT group were improved,and there were significant differences between T test and PRO test results(P=0.019,P=0.012),and there were significant differences in comparison before and after the experiment(p<0.05).(2)The results of agility,except for the T test effect of the vertical PT group was medium effect(ES=0.454),the results were all are large effect(ES>0.8),and the ES of the agility tests in the horizontal PT group was greater than that of the vertical PT group.(3)The results of28m×2 sprint running in the special physical fitness of the horizontal PT group after the experiment were improved,there was a significant difference in the before and after test results(p<0.05),and ES was a medium effect(ES=0.706);(4)After the experiment,the high scores of the previous step vertical jump in the special physical fitness test of the three groups of experimental subjects were improved,and the horizontal PT group and the vertical PT group had significant differences between groups and the control RT group.There were significant differences(p<0.05)before and after the experiment,with ES in the vertical PT group being the large effect(ES=1.029)and the horizontal PT group being the medium effect(ES=0.771).(5)After the experiment,the 505 test score in the agility of the RT group was improved,and there was a significant difference before and after the experiment(p<0.05),and ES was a medium effect amount(ES=0.598);(6)After the experiment,the results of30-meter straight sprinting,CMJ height and DJ-SRI basic physical fitness in the horizontal PT group and the vertical PT group were improved,and there were significant differences(p<0.05)in the comparison between the groups,and the ES were all large effect amounts(ES>0.8),and there was no significant difference between the groups(p>0.05);(7)After the experiment,the squat 1RM test score of the RT group was improved,and there was a significant difference before and after the experiment(p=0.031),and ES was a medium-effect amount(ES=0.593);(8)After the experiment,the BMI and skeletal muscle content of the RT group were improved,and there was a significant difference before and after the experiment(p<0.05),and the skeletal muscle content ES was a small effect(ES=0.240).Conclusions:(1)plyometric training can effectively improve the agility of basketball players.the horizontal direction has more advantages than vertical training in the training of change of direction.In terms of perceptual decision training,the two PT group have similar effects;(2)plyometric training can effectively improve the lower limb explosiveness of basketball players.and vertical training is better than horizontal training in terms of jumping ability training.In terms of short-distance straight-line sprint ability,horizontal training is better than vertical.(3)Resistance training can improve the agility,maximum strength of lower limbs and skeletal muscle content of basketball players. |
