Reading and writing is a concentrated expression of the language comprehensive literacy. They are not only the two main parts in language teaching tasks which require coordinated, but also the wings of language teaching which are indispensable. But look at the current status of language teaching, writing teaching is the weaknesses of language teaching, so the most important point in teaching research is how to improve the writing level of students and to train students’ writing ability. The propose and practice of the combination of imitative writing and reading have been widely recognized and valued in language education. This study focused on this point and believed that writing without reading is impossible. The combination of writing and reading should focus on writing. At the same time we should consider the current status of junior writing, using the imitative writing to build a bridge between reading and writing. We must make good use of textbooks which is the most direct reading material for junior, to improve students’ writing.This thesis is divided into the following parts: The first part, it mainly elaborates the overview of imitative writing, and the conception referred. The second part describes the use of relevant support including curriculum standards, learning transfer theory, constructivist learning theory and the law of physical and mental development of junior high school students. The third part is to generalize and analysis the current situation of the junior high school language teaching. The fourth part, is mainly on how to carry out writing teaching. The fifth part is to propose some questions in writing teaching.
