To improve students’ reading ability has always been unremitting pursuit of Chinese reading teaching in Middle School. Although reading teaching is so important, the less efficiency of teaching makes people feel pity because of the most time-consuming and laborious teaching process. How to improve the students’ reading ability has become a challenge in Chinese reading teaching. Therefore, based on changing the old reading methods to inject fresh blood to the reading teaching, students’ mastering some learning methods is particularly significant. That is, students ought to learn how to “fishing” in the process of getting “fishes”. In fact, how to turn the learnt knowledge into their own ability seems very important for students, However, it is difficult to achieve the purpose to improve students’ reading ability only depending on the several passages in textbook. To truly develop students’ reading skills and develop thinking so that students learn how to learn, teachers and students, who can not just be satisfied with the existing text to read, need to know how to introduce curricular and extra-curricular resources as a supplement. Thus it’s necessary to build up a linear, planar, three-dimensional reading-centered radiation system by the methods, which radiate out into extracurricular reading, Chinese subjects and other subjects in junior high school from curricular reading, to enhance students’ reading ability. But in the actual teaching process, there will be radiation reading ignoring students — excess radiation; ignoring the text — invalid radiation; ignoring the teaching — no relationship to radiation. Especially the problems, disobeying the basic Chinese reading and teaching principals, are to affect the improvement of students’ Chinese accomplishment and development.
